Frequently asked questions

Tap a question to expand it. Details about data and forecasts are also covered in the Privacy Policy.

Why doesn't it ask for location (GPS) permission?
You pick your city yourself. Wash Timing uses no GPS or location permission and does not collect location data. The weather is fetched based on the city you choose.
What do the traffic-light colors (green, yellow, red) mean?
Green means a good day to wash, yellow is so-so, and red is not recommended. It shows just the judgment you need right now, instead of complicated numbers.
What if the weather forecast is wrong?
Wash Timing only interprets a third-party forecast (OpenWeather) with fixed rules to pick good days — it does not predict the weather on its own. Forecasts can be inaccurate or change without notice, so please use it for reference only. Reopening the app re-evaluates with the latest forecast. Do not rely on it as the sole basis for safety or severe-weather decisions; check official weather sources as well.
Where are my wash records stored?
Core app data such as wash records, cycle, and preferred days are stored only on your device and are not sent to a developer server. Deleting the app removes the on-device data with it.
When do notifications arrive?
When a good day to wash comes, it quietly notifies you in your chosen time slot (morning or evening). Notifications contain no ads or external links.
Is it free? Are there ads?
It is free, and a Google AdMob banner ad may be shown (other formats such as interstitials may be added later). Data such as wash records and cycle is not provided for ad targeting.
